Questions people ask
How do I get a random address in California?
Press New address. You get a street address in a real California city (Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Sacramento, Oakland) with a CA ZIP code that starts with that city’s real 3-digit prefix, plus a fictional phone number in the city’s area code.
Is this a real California address?
No. The city, state and ZIP prefix are real, but the house number and street name are generated at random, so the full address is not meant to match a real property. Don’t use it for deliveries, accounts or verification.
What do California ZIP codes look like?
California ZIP codes run from 90001 to 96162. The first three digits identify a USPS sectional centre; the generator keeps those real for each city and randomises the last two, which may not be an active ZIP.
Are the phone numbers real?
They use the 555-0100 to 555-0199 block, which the North American Numbering Plan reserves for fictional use, so no real line will ring.
