The sum of several dice isn’t flat. With 2d6, a 7 is six times as likely as a 2. The random number generator page has an interactive chart showing how adding dice builds a bell curve.

How do I write dice notation?
NdS rolls N dice with S sides: 3d6 is three six-sided dice. Add or subtract modifiers and other dice (1d20+5, 2d8+1d6−1). Add kh or kl to keep the highest or lowest dice: 4d6kh3 rolls four and keeps the best three, and 2d20kh1 is D&D advantage. dF rolls Fate/Fudge dice.
Is this dice roller fair?
Yes. Each die is an unbiased integer from crypto.getRandomValues with rejection sampling. It’s fairer than most physical dice, which have slight manufacturing biases.
What does advantage mean in D&D?
In D&D 5th edition, rolling with advantage means rolling two d20s and taking the higher. Disadvantage takes the lower. Use 2d20kh1 and 2d20kl1, or the quick buttons.
